The controls for the Regal Stitch Regulator are both on the front and back of the machine.

Single Stitch

When you press the single stitch button, the machine will take a single stitch. The needle will stop up or down based on the needle stop up/down switch setting on the control panel. This is used to pick up the bobbin thread or make an anchor stitch.

Needle up/down Switch

This feature allows the needle to stop in the up or down position

Laser Switch

The laser turns the laser light on or off.

Mode selector Dial

Dial on the control panel that controls the stitch regulator and constant speed mode. You can stitch from 8 to 15 stitches per inch with the stitch regulator, use the basting mode, or quilt in the constant speed mode.

Constant Speed Mode

The machine stitches at a constant speed. The numbers 1 through 10 on the speed mode of the dial are equal to a speed of 50 to 2600 RPM. It can be adjusted while quilting. You control your stitch length by how fast you move the machine.

Stitch Regulation Mode Switch

This switch sets three stitch regulation modes. In the "up" position, the machine is in stitch regulated cruise mode. In the middle position, it is in the set cruise speed mode. In the bottom position, it is in the normal stitch regulation mode.

Cruise Mode

This is a modified stitch regulation mode. In this mode, the machine will begin to sew at the cruise speed you have set. As your movements cause the machine to run above your cruise speed, the stitch regulator will start to control stitch length.

Normal Stitch Regulation Mode

The stitch regulator quilts approximately equal to 8 to 15 stitches per inch. the machine speeds up and slows down depending upon your movements. The stitch length can be continuously adjusted within that range so long as the machine is not moving.

Basting Mode

The machine can take a stitch in 1/2 inch increments.
